We offer you a choice from 53 Deluxe Rooms, 6 Executive Rooms with direct sea view, 3 Triple Rooms with three single beds and one en suite bathroom as well as a 2 Family Rooms (large) with two bedrooms and one en suite bathroom.
Most rooms have a furnished Balcony. All non-smoking rooms are appointed with stylish furniture and extra-long beds, either Twin or King-size. Each room has its separate shower bathroom, equipped with bathrobe and amenities for your convenience.

About the Area
The weather here is mild all year round. Malalane town has two large supermarkets and a variety of shops as well as a selection of restaurants in the vicinity together with various service outlets. The eSwatini border is only a 30 minute drive and Mozambique a 35 minute drive away. If you want to fly out, regular flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town are available at the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport which you can reach in a 30 minute drive.

Located in the center of the gardens, the former farmhouse has been converted into 5 unique rooms and a suite designated as the garden and pool rooms. The pool rooms provide - along with a private pool - the feel of an African garden filled with the delightful sounds of the bountiful birdlife found here. The contemporary en-suite bedrooms have private patios with enchanting gardens and magical mountain views. There is also the historical cottage which contains two rooms, each built in a maisonette style over two levels. Each unit has a staircase leading up to an open-plan bedroom area.

Our History
The genesis of the garden began in the 1950s. An avid plant collector, Marthinus Malherbe amassed an amazing array of cactus seeds from the Americas that Molly planted and nurtured to create a one-of-a-kind garden in South Africa for that day and time. Through ownership changes the garden was very neglected but resurrected and expanded in 2000 by new owners. In 2011 Soekershof was converted into a boutique guesthouse with an outstanding restaurant and in 2017 new owners, Francois and Jeanne, took over, expanded the cacti gardens and upgraded the rooms.

Each of our spacious rooms has an en-suite bathroom, with a bath and a shower, as well as a television equipped with DSTV, and a coffee station. We also have air-conditioned rooms available. Some rooms have double doors, opening onto the balcony and others boast their own little lawn.
We also offer event venues which range from high ceiling halls to intimate settings with a spectacular view over the city, ideally suited for functions and conferences.

We are on a working farm and offer you a comfortable stay in the lush, scenic valley of Malkerns.he views are exquisite, with a dam set at the bottom of the garden and the Mdzimba mountain range beyond. The valley is set between Mbabane and Manzini, the two main cities of eSwatini. Perfect for seeing the best of what the country has to offer!
Generous English and continental breakfasts are served on the patio overlooking the swimming pool, gardens, dam and mountains. There are many good restaurants close by for a choice of lunches and dinners.
The airport is a 15 minute drive away and your hosts are more than happy to provide transport if required.
Our Accommodation
The chalets all have private entrances, air conditioning, DSTV and all necessary comforts. There are two double room family chalets (sleep 4 each) with a shared bathroom. These chalets feature fully equipped kitchens for self-catering, open-plan Kitchen, lounge & dining room with a braai area and delightful garden view - ideal for families!
Our two single room chalets (sleep 2 each) are en-suite, have an open-plan bedroom, lounge and kitchenette, a small balcony and overlook the dam with an outside braai area. Ideal for tour groups or private guests.

Rainbird Chalets offers onsite bass fishing (rods available for guests), safe walking and fantastic birding in the beautiful gardens and around the wetlands near the dam. Bass fishing in the dam is on a catch and release basis.
There are many of eSwatini's most popular attractions close by including; game reserve, adventure activities, horse riding, quad biking, paragliding, mountain biking, walks, trails, caving, a golf course, bushman paintings, a cultural village and craft shops as well as a generous assortment of restaurants and nightlife options.
