Centre Ville Guest House 

Built in 1905, our Centre Ville Guest House in Franschhoek is a Victorian beauty and situated in the heart of town. Now fully renovated, without losing the old world charm, our homestead is one of the gems of the valley. 

Our bed and breakfast is within walking distance to the hub of village life, the Huguenot Monument and the famous Franschhoek restaurants. This beautiful village is situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands region, and still just one hour’s drive away from the mother city Cape Town, whale watching in Hermanus or game drives in the Karoo.

While the mansion offers modern amenities in 9 comfortable, air-conditioned guest rooms, the communal sitting area with fireplace is a favourite gathering place to chat or read, and you might even want to meet other guests and make new friends. We also have a piano available for the musically talented.

This is the food and wine heartland of the country, where splendid wines are grown and our top chefs create international cuisine. Here breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, and the finest wines all combine to create lasting memories. 

The fertile Franschhoek Wine Valley is home to some of South Africa’s noble cultivars and classic styles. As you make your way into Franschhoek you will notice that most of the farms still bear their original French names, some complete with a spectacular Cape Dutch homestead, towering oaks, and rolling vineyards. You will find an array of cellars, ranging from quaint boutique wineries that cater to those in search of something unique, to the large cellars that offer visitors organised tours and tastings. A short wander down the main road in Franschhoek uncovers world-class shops and boutiques for an intimate and relaxed shopping experience. There is truly something for everyone. 

For the more energetic there are numerous walking trails in the surrounding mountains - particularly in the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve. You can also hire a bicycle and explore on your own, or go wine tasting on horseback. Franschhoek also is the epitome of relaxation and is home to a host of premium quality and serene wellness centres, spas, health shops and beauty parlours.
