About the Area

The tranquil fishing village of Arniston is approimately 210 kilometres from Cape Town, at the Indian Ocean coast of South Africa. There are pristine white sandy beaches, dotted with rock pools to explore. Prehistoric fish traps made by the Khoisan strandlopers (beach walkers) still remain along the coastline. These stone built enclosures trap fish at high tide. Arniston, the village of Kassiesbaai boasts iconic white washed, thatched roof fishermans' cottages, and the surrounds offer much for the curious and adventurous alike, and with our extensive knowledge of the area we gladly offer you advice on what to see and do.
