Morning: Reception in Walvis Bay
Meet us at 8h30 a.m. at the Walvis Bay Waterfront and look forward to a very special sailing cruise with us.
Sailing Cruise
Every day we cast off at 9h00 and get ready to head out onto the ocean - Our search for dolphins, seals, whales and sunfish in their natural habitat has begun.
Enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea as we approach Pelican Point peninsula. Admire the lighthouse and the approximately 60,000 seals that live there. On route we will visit an oyster farm and learn how this delicacy is produced at Namibia's rich Atlantic coast.
After circling Pelican Point we will be sailing out to the sea. Look out for bottlenose dolphins, Heaviside dolphins and sunfish.
Between July and November we often spot even larger marine mammals such as the southern right whale and the humpback whale.
During your marine expedition you will also encounter a variety of seabirds, including Dominican or scullion gulls, gannets and Cape cormorants.
If there isn't lack of wind, we set sail, turn off the engines and let our guests experience real sailing. You can even help hoist the sails and winch the lines.
On our way back we are going to sail past a variety of different types of ships that are moored in the bay. We serve fresh Namibian oysters, bubbly (sparkling wine), a selection of savory and sweet snacks as well as beer, cool drinks and bottled water.
