60km south of Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is situated within the Table Mountain National Park on South Africa's Cape Peninsula. This reserve is an integral part of the Cape Floral Kingdom and comprises a treasure trove of 1100 species of indigenous plants. With 7759 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna and a 40km Cape Peninsula coastline, it is a paradise for nature lovers.
Walks, hiking trails and picnic sites around the excellent viewpoints are giving you the opportunity to spot the unique variety of wildlife including Cape Mountain Zebras and baboons. A rich diversity of marine life is ensured due the strategic position between the two major oceans - The Atlantic and the Indian Ocean - and the differing sea temperatures, which result in a difference between the sea life west of the Cape Point and that to the East.
