Addo Elephant National Park
This diverse wildlife conservation park situated in the beautiful Sundays River Valley, 70km north of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and is one of the country's 19 national parks.
This is a malaria-free game park with a very large population of elephants and other African wildlife, including the "Big 7" - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, elephant, whale and dolphin. At the opening of the park in 1931 only 11 elephants lived in this area. Today the park is managed through a coordinated ecosystem to offer 550+ elephants a sanctuary.
The Addo Elephant Park offers travellers an unforgettable experience on a diverse safari. By integrating the Zuurberge, the Sunday River and the Bushman's River, the landscape is unique, with 180 000 hectares, it is the third largest national park in South Africa.
