Cango Caves

At the head of the Cango Valley, 29km north of Oudtshoorn and on the scenic Route 62, lie the spectacular Cango Caves - the underground wonder of the Klein Karoo. Situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the Swartberg Mountains, you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with vast halls and towering formations. This is the only show cave in Africa offering a choice of heritage or adventure tours.

All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited cave guides and offered in English. Afrikaans, German, French and other language options are also available. You can make use of the curio shop, the information & interpretive centre as well as our restaurant which is famous for its mouth watering meals. We are wheelchair-friendly. Cango Caves is a national asset for the inhabitants of South Africa and a true South African landmark to foreign visitors.
