Our Purple Haze Eco Lodge offers you a comfortable stop-over between Addo and Coffee Bay, on the Cape Town to Durban / Drakensberg route. Our modern, eco-friendly self-catering accommodation in Chintsa East is situated just 800 m from the sandy beach and offers you the best base from which to explore the Wild Coast. 

Our Accommodation 

Our five modern pod-like apartments sleep two guests each and all offer a panoramic sea view, private balcony, kitchenette, a fan, a heater and blackout blinds as well as a bathroom with a large shower.

The kitchenette in each pod is equipped with a microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, cutlery and crockery. However there is no stove plate in the flat. Barbeque facilities are available as well. 

Enjoy the Green Deck, which is our sun terrace with its incredible 360 degree view over 21 km of coastline, the river estuary and indigenous coastal forests - It is a photographer's paradise! The pitch darkness at night also makes for excellent moon- and starscapes photography or for a relaxing sundowner at sunset or morning coffee. 

There is free Wi-Fi, our indigenous garden, secure parking and each pod has its own individual alarm system as well as lockable cupboards.

Whether you are looking for an adventure, a romantic getaway or just a break from the hustle and the bustle, Chintsa and its surrounding area offers it all - from long, leisurely strolls on our endless sandy beaches and horse riding to game drives, hiking, fishing, surfing and other water sports or a round of golf, you will be able to find what you need only a few minutes' drive away.
